Obituary of Michael Daniel Bay

Michael (Mike) D. Bay, 63, of Beaverton, Oregon passed away from health complications October 15, 2019. Mike was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on May 9th, 1956. He graduated from Manitou Springs High School in Colorado, then served 3 years in the U.S. Army. During that time Mike was briefly married to his high school sweetheart Lori. Mike continued his education and became an electrical software engineer for Softronics in Colorado, Microsoft in Utah, and then later for Intel in Portland, Oregon, from which he retired. Mike is survived by sister Dana Hale and her husband Ray, sister Patricia Bay-Fadgen and her husband Neil, brother Steve Bay, sister-in-law Sharon Bay, nieces Nicole Hill, Natalie Bay, Carolyn Fadgen, Taryn Bay and nephew Trevor Bay, 3 great nieces and 1 great nephew. Mike is preceded in death by his father and step-mother Norman and Melba Bay, mother Ruby Dosh Bay, sister Nancy Acridge, and nephew Dillon Bay. Mike was actively involved in flying helicopters - especially night flying over the Portland Zoo at Christmas. He enjoyed jumping off the Stratosphere on his birthdays, watching movies, reading, and laughing with friends and family. Mike’s generosity and kindness made him a friend to everyone that knew him and he will be greatly missed.
