Obituary of Sally W. Heiblim

On Sunday, August 4th, 2019, Sally W. Heiblim, incredible wife, amazing mother, loving sister and dedicated friend, passed away at the age of 72 due to complications from cancer. Sally was born on February 28th, 1947 in Morristown NJ to Thomas H Wiss III and Mary Brett Wiss. She married Marko Heiblim on May 3rd, 1975 and together they had two children, David Heiblim and Elena (Heiblim) Woods. Sally was full of life.As a child, she fell in love with sailing and spent time in the sun and water with her family and friends at LHYC in Hopatcong, NJ.She craved adventure, always looking for new and exciting experiences.Sally met Marko at Peter’s Valley, which at the time was a commune, now a School of Craft in Layton NJ.After marrying, together they built a beautiful home in Dingmans Ferry, PA, at which they resided for 38 years. Sally loved to travel and enjoyed sharing that passion with her family.Together they had many adventures, always immersed in a new culture.She was incredibly creative.You could see Sally’s creative touch in everything she did, from the smallest design detail in her home, to her personal style, to her gardens, Sally created beauty everywhere.She had an intense passion for horticulture, which she built into a business through Wisspering Pines Nursery.This passion continued throughout her life.She became a veritable encyclopedia, able to identify most house and native plants.She loved spending time in her gardens & was thrilled to share this passion with family.Sally loved music, especially James Taylor, The Beatles and Paul Simon.She played the piano and had a beautiful voice. Sally found success in life & love, followed by a successful career.She spent many years working at Tree Tops in Bushkill, PA, eventually transitioning to Real Estate in Dingmans Ferry and Milford, PA.Through this success, she helped provide an incredible life for her family. Sally was warm and welcoming, sharing her love, passion and creativity with many.She welcomed new friends, always seeing the good in people, yet not naïve, she kept a keen eye on her loved ones. Sally was a dedicated and passionate friend and if you had the good fortune to know her, you inevitably felt the kindness, love and warmth that radiated from her. In 2013, Sally became Nana to Maxwell Case & Cleo Wilder Woods, twins welcomed by her daughter & son in law, Elena & Daniel Woods.In less than 6 short years, she had a tremendous impact on her grandchildren.From being there every day for the first 3 months of their life, to moving across the country to live near them in Portland, Oregon, Sally found tremendous joy in spending time with her grandchildren and their love for her will live on forever. Sally loved deeply and was loved by so many and through this, her spirit lives on. She will be greatly missed. Sally is survived by her husband Marko Heiblim, her son, David Heiblim, her daughter & son in law, Elena and Daniel Woods, her grandchildren Maxwell and Cleo Woods and her siblings, Susan Johnston and Thomas H Wiss IV. A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 1pm at 196 Indian Trails Road, Milford PA 18337.All are welcome.
