Obituary of Orrin J Anderson

Orrin J Anderson Born: September 7, 1928 Died: August 13, 2019 Orrin, Andy, Pappa, he went by many names but we called him dad. He was born to Marion and Mathilda Anderson, raised in Aitkin Minnesota the youngest of nine children. He married the love of his life our mom, Charlotte Irene Martin, on November 20, 1949. Mom died February 14, 2019. They had four children Gary, Jim (Delores), Susan (Louis McIntosh, deceased), Dan (Charlene). He has eight grandkids and 14 great-grandkids, with more to come I’m sure. Dad was an avid sports fan for the Blazers and never missed a game watching until the end win or lose. For the last 10 years we’re been playing poker every Saturday some days there was more yelling than laughter but in the end always hugs before going home. Dad was a life time member of the NRA and OSSA, a member of the Oregon Arms Collectors, Rose City Gun Collectors, the Douglas Ridge Rifle Club, The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, the Oregon State Sheriff Association, the Bit, Spur, and Saddle Collectors Association, and the Portland Mountain Rescue. He was an avid collector of model 94 Winchester. Dad, it’s hard to believe you and mom are gone but it’s also comforting to know you’re together again in heaven. We love and miss you, your kids.
