Gerald LeRoy Rice passed away peacefully with family by his side at the age of 80.
He residence was in Canby, OR. He was a fighter battling pancreatic cancer for 2 1/2 years.
He was born in Cottage Grove, OR. Jan 24, 1939 to Cecil & Merilda Rice. He served in the US Marine Corps, was a truck driver, a cowboy, then a facility manager at Milwaukie school district when he retired. He was a kind and generous man. He was never without his cowboy boots and cowboy hat.
He Preceded By: Son-Jerry Smith (Yori) & three grandchildren, daughter, Victoria Simms (Rodney), 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. His Siblings:Brothers-Marvin Rice (Darlene), Bill Rice (Bonnie) Larry Rice. Sisters:Jean Hille (Larry) & Connie Reed (Luke).
Celebration of Life will be held on July 20, 2019 @ 1:00 pm
