Obituary of Jack Quincy Rothwell
Jack Quincy Rothwell was born in Portland, OR on January 4th, 1997 and the world was never the same. He was full of life, love and kindness, a ball of energy from the start. He was truly a unique individual, from smashing match-box cars or playing all the parts in a star-wars battle as a kid to being the master of jokes (often with a goofy accent) through teenage years. Most people grow out of the imaginative, creative, goofy stage as they come into adulthood, but not Jack. He was famous for his 'on the spot raps', making jokes with his friends about the way your hair looked, or what the bugs were doing in the garden. Full of zingers, there were plenty of laughs to be had.
Always willing and genuinely happy to help family, friends and neighbors, he was involved in many landscaping projects, and of course his favorite, anything to do with cars. Anytime you’d see Jack his first question was always “how are you doing?”, and he meant it. His concern for others was genuine and exceeded his time on this earth.
Jack is survived by his mother, Kristina Rothwell, his father, Mark Rothwell, sister Lucy Rothwell, uncles Mark Hutsell, Steven Rothwell and Darren Rothwell, grandparents Ed and Barb Hutsell and more friends and neighbors than can be counted. He will be loved and missed forever by us all.
In true Jack fashion, lives are being saved and enriched through organ donation.
"The loneliest people are the kindest. The saddest people smile the brightest. The most damaged people are the wisest. All because they do not wish to see anyone else suffer the way they do."
A celebration of life will be held August 10th, 2019, please leave a comment if you'd like to be notified of details. Donations can be made to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline in his honor.
