Obituary of Ernest Leroy Karkiainen
Ernest (“Ernie”) Leroy Karkiainen, age 66, passed from natural causes on May 21st, 2019 at his home in Dundee, Oregon. Ernie was the 2nd oldest son of Walter Karkiainen of Maple Valley, WA and Mary Cutshall (Bannister) of Baker City, OR. Ernie was born July 2nd, 1952 in Wisconsin. He moved to Oregon at a young age and was raised in Yamhill County. Ernie married his wife, Brenda, in June of 1982. He has three daughters: Carina, Shauna, and Elizabeth. Ernie was a hard worker who loved to spend time with family and enjoy the great outdoors. His favorite pass times included fishing, camping, bowling, shooting pool, playing games, drinking and singing (well trying to at least) karaoke with his family and friends. Ernie was proceeded in death by his parents and brothers Walter (Wally) Karkiainen & William (Billy) Stephens. He is survived by his siblings: Bob, Judy, & Vincent (Eddie) – Wife: Brenda - Daughters: Carina, Shauna and Elizabeth. Grandchildren: Deztiny, Deven, Kurtis, Dominic, Karma, Zaden & Rylie - and many “adopted” loved ones. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6th, 2019 at By His Grace Fellowship - 1110 OR-99W, Dundee, OR 97115.
