Obituary of Douglas M. Gadsky

Douglas M. Gadsky Age 68 November 7th, 1950 – May 3rd, 2019 Doug Gadsky was born in Monterey, California, to Max and Margaret Gadsky. He had one older brother, Dennis. Doug grew up in Pacific Grove, California. From a young age he had a love for nature, animals and enjoyed working hard. In 1979 he married Joan Sherman and they moved to Philomath, Oregon. After he and Joan began to study the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses, they were baptized in symbol of their dedication to Jehovah and spent the rest of their married life enjoying this course together. They also raised 2 children, Joel and Shauna. Doug enjoyed working with his hands as a mechanic, doing electrical maintenance, refrigeration, welding and fabricating. He had a “can do” attitude. “Can’t” was not in his vocabulary. Those who knew him enjoyed his infectious enthusiasm, sense of humor and storytelling. Doug was preceded in death by his father Max, and mother Margaret. He is survived by his wife Joan; his son Justin Roux; his son Joel and his wife Mikhael; his daughter Shauna Bateman and her husband Travis; his brother Dennis; and also many nephews and nieces. Memorial services will be held on Saturday May 18th at 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Address: 1330 SW 35th St, Corvallis, OR 97333.
