Obituary of Shannon Kay Giltner

Shannon Kay Giltner June 26, 1939 – May 5, 2010 Shannon Kay Giltner, of Portland, Oregon, passed away on May 5, 2010, at the age of 70. Shannon was born to George and Ruth (Birch) Sullivan in Wenatchee, Washington, on June 26, 1939. She moved with her family to Oregon when she was nine years old and graduated West Linn High School before marrying Clarence V. Giltner. For many years Shannon worked as a seamstress at White Stag making tents and sleeping bags, then she went to work at Sign-Up. She enjoyed playing bingo, going camping and spending time with her family and going for drives in the car. Shannon will be remembered for being a best friend and the best Mom, having cared for her friends and family with all her heart – a very giving Mom and friend. Shannon is survived by her daughter Colleen Coultas, granddaughter Tammy Sterba, grandson Zac Coultas, two great grandchildren, sister-in-law Gerry Sullivan, and many relatives who loved her dearly. She is predeceased by her husband, her parents George and Ruth Sullivan and her brother Wendel Sullivan. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the family home in Portland. Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center - Milwaukie.
