Obituary of Rachel M. Belmore
Rachel (Dean) M. Belmore (Hudson) October 21, 1921 – April 19, 2010 Rachel M. Belmore, of Beaverton, Oregon, passed away on April 19, 2010, at the age of 88. Rachel was born to Ernest Olea and Hortence Elizabeth (Johnson) Hudson in Falcon, North Carolina, on October 21, 1921, where she lived before moving to Oregon in 1939. She married Al Belmore on July 1, 1946, in Portland, Oregon, and they had three children: Stephen (Joy) Belmore of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; Gerald (Tangie) Belmore of Sherwood, Oregon; and Martha (Marty) Voge of Beaverton, Oregon. Rachel worked in retail as a sales clerk. Her hobbies were photography, cooking, travel, and fishing. She was a member of the Montavilla Baptist Church. Rachel is also survived by a sister, Edna Johnson of Four Oaks, North Carolina; three brothers: Scott Hudson and Durwood Hudson, both of Wade, North Carolina; and Ernest Hudson, Jr. of Wilson, North Carolina. Rachel also had ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Her husband predeceased her in 2006. Private services are being held by the family. Arrangements were made with Crown Memorial Center at the Milwaukie location.
