Keith Thomajan posted a condolence
Monday, January 1, 2001
My name is Keith Thomajan and I am the CEO of Camp Fire USA in Portland; we own/operate Camp Namanu. I have been touched by reading of Sarah's passing --here and in the blogs and posts of many of her countless friends. Clearly, Sarah was an amazing and unique individual whose contribution to our community and our world was profound, if too short. All of us at Camp Fire USA will hold her in --and her friends and family--in our hearts. We are lucky to have called her part of the Camp Fire/Namanu "family." Very sincerely, Keith

I am so deeply saddened by the news of Sarah's passing. Her mother and I are old friends and my children used to love babysitting for Sarah. She is one of the sweetest children we knew and the world will miss her greatly since she grew to be such and outstanding young woman! Our hearts go out to Karen and John and we hope they find peace in Sarah being in peace. Dori O'Dell

We didn't know Sarah Elizabeth however, we did meet her parents a few times in Port Orford and remember them being a very caring, kind and loving couple. Knowing all the wonderful things Sarah Elizabeth has done and accomplished we will always honor such a great young lady. Dear Karen, Dear Eric and Dear John, we were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Sarah Elizabeth. Alice and I offer your family our heartful condolences during this painful period. We know that there are no words to ease your sorrow, but we hope that in the difficult weeks ahead you will find love and comfort in the happy memories shared by those who had the honor of knowing Sarah Elizabeth. May God support you and bring you peace through this period of adjustment. God bless you. Alice and Horst F. Pfand

I am just finding out about this tragic event. I met Sarah briefly while I promoted bands and booked concerts. I have a recording of an acoustic version of a song she performed on my radio show it was so moving and you can feel her passion and hear her energy in it. My deepest sympathies go out to the friends and family members of this amazing person.
