Obituary of Daniel Wayne Gurr
Daniel Wayne Gurr October 30, 1950 – March 15, 2010 Daniel Wayne Gurr passed away peacefully on March 15, 2010 at Life Care Center of McMinnville. Daniel was born on October 30, 1950 in Los Angeles California to Violet and Delbert Gurr. He spent most of his childhood in Norwalk California and moved to Sheridan Oregon in 1958. Daniel graduated from Sheridan High School in 1969, and then joined the Marines. Daniel is a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served four years and earned several medals such as the National Defense Service medal and a rifle Expert Medal. Daniel was preceded in death by his father Delbert Gurr, and step father Wesley Gurr. He is survived by his mother Violet Gurr, sisters Ramona Dejong and Shirley Smith, nieces Linda Pool, Karly and Kelly Dejong, nephews Wes Pool, and Kris Dejong, daughter Erica Asuncion and three grandchildren, Karis and Kyler Asuncion, and Patricia Thompson.
