Obituary of John Nicholas Lunders
Salem: John lost his battle with cancer February 25, 2010. He was born May 19, 1952 to Nick and Chris (Shears) Lunders in Lewsiton, ID. John went to school at Reubens, Craigmont and the University of Idaho. He was blessed with many talents and a remarkable sense of humor. John is survived by his partner Thom Alari; sisters Thelma Anderson of Keizer and Linda (Les) Stolte of Sublimity; brother Bud (Jane) Lunders of Las Cruces, NM; and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather Jack Whitted. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 2 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 303 North Church Street, Silverton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Desert Aids Project, www.desertaidsproject.org or Willamette Valley Hospice, www.wvh.org. Arrangements entrusted to Crown Memorial Center – Salem.
