Obituary of Oral B Tish
Tish, Oral B 90 04/18/1919 07/28/2009 Oral B Tish was born April 18, 1919, in Greenleaf, Idaho, and died July 28, 2009, in Newberg. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Beatrice; children, Brooks and Dorothy Tish, Barbara Anderson, Eugene and Carol Tish, and Gary and Paulette Gledhill; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, with one on the way. Oral taught at George Fox College (now George Fox University), pastored churches in California and farmed for many years in Idaho. At age 62 he and his wife moved to Oregon where they owned 7-Eleven franchises in Salem and Portland. During retirement Oral grew beautiful roses which he loved to share with those around him. Most recently Oral lived at Friendsview Retirement Community in Newberg. Oral loved people and was deeply loved in return. He will be greatly missed. A public memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, in Friends Church, 307 S. College St., Newberg.
