Obituary of Karen Lee Griffith
October 12, 1938 ~ January 7, 2010 Karen Lee Griffith, 71, passed away in Clackamas, Oregon on January 7, 2010. Karen was born in Spokane, Washington on October 12, 1938 to Arthur Charles and Babe Viola (Mourning) Smith. Karen and her family moved to Oregon when she was a child and graduated from Franklin High School in the “Class of 57”. Karen worked as a residential group home manager and was a member of the National Geographic Foundation. Karen is survived by her sons, David Griffith, Dennis Griffith, Jack Griffith, and Bruce Griffith; daughter Ellen Distefano; sister, Janice Smith; brother, Arthur Smith; and 3 grandchildren. There will be a private service held for close friends and family, and later will be placed at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery. Online condolence can be made at www.ANewTradition.com.
