Obituary of Steve Miller
Stephen Shane Miller was born August 10, 1967 in Reedsport, OR to Loretta Hafen and Stan Miller. He passed away January 07, 2023 at the age of 55 in his home with family. He is survived by his wife Peggy Webber, sons Casey Miller and Kyle Miller with his wife Kayla and children Matthew and Leah, as well as step daughters Heather Webber and Brittney Webber with partner Amanda Stevens and daughter Ava. At the age of 14 Steve joined the Coos Bay Police Explorers program and was active through age 18. He participated in the Coos Bay Police Reserves and Coos Bay Police 911 Dispatch; additionally, he was a sleeper for the Coos Bay Fire Department.
Eventually Steve moved on to volunteer for the Clackamas Fire Department and finished the last 25+ years of his volunteer fire service with Molalla Fire Department. He made a 27 year career as a Deputy Sheriff with the Clackamas County Sheriff Department. Steve is known for his quick wit and humor and his willingness to lend a helping hand. His life was dedicated to public service and will be remembered by the community.
A service will be held Sunday January 29, 2023 at 13:00 at Molalla High School 357 E Francis St. Molalla, Or 97038. Psalm 34:17-18 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
