Caine Tederman
Caine Tederman died on November 28th, 2022, in Gresham, Oregon at the age of 55. He was born in Lincoln Nebraska, on March 21, 1967 the son of James and Jane (Ryon) Tederman. In 1969, the family moved to Grinnell, Iowa, where Caine attended Grinnell public schools and graduated from Grinnell High School with the class of 1985. He spent a year after high school working in a Colorado ski resort which allowed him to pursue his passion for snow skiing. He then enrolled at Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado, followed by a year at the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo.
He returned to Grinnell and entered into marriage with Jackie Hendrickson which later ended in divorce. He held several positions over the next thirty years, all of which involved some type of construction.
Caine’s life can best be summarized by his love of many things. He always had a love of “high” places whether it was the peak of a roof top, the top rungs of an unguarded crane that allowed him an unobstructed view of a town fifteen miles away, the highest limbs of a tall tree, or at the top of a mountain where he could speed to the bottom undeterred by moguls or trees. He also loved music, jammed with friends, and shared his knowledge of many musicians and their accomplishments. He loved sports like motorcycling, boating, water skiing, and snow skiing. Lastly, he loved his family and spent time over the last several months watching his favorite YouTube clips, taking long walks, and spending long nights engaged in talks on every subject. You are forever in the hearts of the many who loved you over the years.
A celebration of Caine’s life will be held in the summer of 2023 in Gothenburg, Nebraska.
Caine was pre-deceased by his father in 2021 and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his daughter, Cassidee, his mother, Jane Tederman, many aunts, uncles and cousins, and many friends.
