Obituary of Robyn Rae Johnson

Robyn Rae Johnson (Vosz) was born on April 2, 1949 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. She passed away at St. Adventist hospital in Portland, OR on November 21, 2022 from complications of kidney failure, dialysis and heart disease.

In 1951, Robyn and her parents moved to Grantsburg, Wisconsin where she completed grades one through twelve. After graduating from high school in 1967, Robyn worked as a window and interior display designer for Daytons and Donaldsons department store in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In the fall of that year she attended Stout State University Menomonie, Wisconsin where she studied interior design.

In 1970, she moved to Portland, Oregon where she completed her studies at Bassist Institute of Interior Design. In 1971 she began her career with Lipmanand Wolfe department store where she worked as a window and interior display designer. In 1976 she left Lipman and Wolfe and worked for Stage Craft Industries. Later in her career, Robyn worked as a manager in the home decorating department of several local fabric stores until she retired in 2015.

Robyn was a singer and performer with Sweet Adelines International for over thirty years. She enjoyed designing and making costumes for her own chorus and other performing quartets in the organization. She also sang in her church choir at St. Andrews Lutheran and Prince of Life Lutheran churches where she attended regularly.

Robyn had a strong faith and belief in our Lordand Savior Jesus Christ. Her faith kept her strong throughout her illness. She loved her family and was especially close to her sister, Barbara, throughout her entire life. They lived together for many years before her passing. They enjoyed traveling, shopping, cooking, baking and singing together.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Ray (d.2004) and Maye (d.1993) Voszandher brother-in-law, Jerry Haberlach (d.2018).

She is survived by her sister, Barbara Haberlach.

Memorial service for Robyn will be held on January 7, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Prince of Life Lutheran Church, 13896 S. Meyers Rd. Oregon City, OR 97045
