Obituary of Annette Taylor
Annette Taylor
May 14, 1937 – October 20, 2022
Salem, OR – Annette Taylor, 85, died peacefully in her sleep.
She was born in Marsden, Yorkshire, England, to Arnold and Dorothy Dolan. She had one brother, Gerald, whom she adored. She was a kind, loving, elegant woman, very much a people person who delighted in talking with anyone she could engage with. In her youth she was a ballerina, and was very proud of her dancing years, and of the costumes that her mum made for her.
Annette married Donald Taylor in March of 1955. They had five children together.
As a child of WWII, she longed for a world of peace and dreamed of ways to create a program using language to achieve her dream. Sadly, it was something she only dreamed of, but she did plant that seed in those she spoke with. She was a wonderful chef and baker, loved beautiful things, gardening, animals (Corgi - Mr. Leo), and especially her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by, sons, Christopher, and Jeremy; daughters, Angela Cockayne, Eleanor Smith, and Nicole Taylor; 9 grandchildren, Gregory, Mylissa, Andrew, Erik, Thomas, Nathan, Elizabeth, Trevor, and Alec; and 5 great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Brandon, Tyhiya, Meghan, and Jacob. She was a wonderful loving mum and “Grammerz (aka Grandma Nettie)” to her grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care provided by the Brookstone Memory Care facility. Annette’s ashes will be returned to Marsden, England (https://thewanderingwildflower.co.uk/walks-in-yorkshire-walk-to-eastergate-bridge/). Arrangements are by Crown Memorial. A Celebration of Life will be held at the home of her daughter, on Sunday November 6th.
