Norma J Hansen Mulligan passed away peacefully Sunday July 3, 2022 in her own home with family and friends at her bedside.
Norma was born August 1, 1940 to Margaret and Ray Hansen in Oakland, CA. Norma spent her formative years in California, graduating from Oakland High School. She spent most of her career as a medical transcriptionist in the state of California. On May 1, 1965 Norma married the love of her life Frank Mulligan, in Berkeley, CA. Norma was an avid gardener and enjoyed 18 years with her cats Sugar and Spice, who were sisters. Norma joined the Catholic Church on March 22, 2008 and quickly immersed herself into the ministries at St. Cyril Catholic Church, eventually becoming the Sacristan. This role included coordinating many aspects of the Masses and supporting the liturgical sacredness of our faith.
Norma was preceded in death by her beloved Frank and her cherished cats. Norma is survived by her very close friends Mary & Jerry Tillery, stepdaughter Marie (John) Crescenzo, grandchildren Nicholas & Katharine, niece Joan (Tom) Hampton, great niece Lisa Hampton, nephews Mike (Pat) and Dan (Donna) Mulligan, as well as numerous close friends.
