Obituary of Janice Annette Nagle

Janice Annette Nagle, 68, unexpectedly passed away on May 31, 2022 in Portland, Oregon.

Born in Portland to Elayne Jensen and Howard Westover on October 29, 1953. She was later adopted by John Jensen when the family moved to Beaverton, Oregon.  The oldest of three siblings, Jan attended Beaverton High School.  Jan first worked in the ‘70s at Clark’s Jr Apparel where she met her future husband, Michael Nagle.  Her favorite job was being a mother. She later went on to work at Cascade Embroidery with her sister, Solveig, and eventually her grown daughters too.  Before retiring in 2016.

Her children and later grandchildren were her whole life.  She loved volunteering in her children’s and grandchildren’s schools, and helping out with any of their activities.  She also enjoyed having the grandkids over for sleepovers and taking them places and spoiling them. Her other passion was the Portland Timbers soccer team, attending games since their inception in 1975 with her husband. They were devoted season ticket holders. She also enjoyed painting designs on rocks and hiding them for others to find.  As well as gardening and planting beautiful flowers around her yard in SW Portland.  Lilacs were a favorite.

Janice is survived by her husband of 46 years Mike Nagle. Daughters Karla Silvey of Tigard, Kelly Jones of Fairview and son Colin Nagle of Camas, WA. Their spouses Thomas Silvey, Darrell Jones, and fiance Cara Williams. Grandchildren Madalyn Silvey and Barron Silvey.  Her sister Solveig Aikins of Gresham.  As well as her Mother-in-Law Helen Nagle, her brother-in laws, sister in-laws, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Elayne Jensen and sister, Diane Davenport. A Celebration of Life will be held July 16, 2022, with details to follow.
