Obituary of William Enquist

Surrounded by family, William "Bill" Lawrence Enquist passed away the morning of June 4th, 2022. He was born June 13th, 1947, to Lawrence and Ella Enquist in Vancouver, WA.

He is survived by his loving wife Brenda Enquist of 49 years; their beloved children: Spencer Enquist, Shelley Davis, Ryan Enquist, Lynne Enquist, Jonathan Patrick, Nick Patrick, Cleopatra Josey, and Malcolm Warren; and his many grandchildren: Emily Enquist, Ella Enquist, Austin Blake, Zac Blake, Khari Mitchell, Dario Oliver, Ellye Patrick, and Charlie Patrick. Bill is also survived by his sister Rita Nellis, and many other family and friends.

Bill was a passionate family man who alongside his wife Brenda, helped raise and foster over 300 children. Bill had a strong sense of kindness and compassion for every kid that walked through his door. A true patriarch who helped serve as the foundation for an incredibly diverse family. He loved to spend his free time on his boat, fishing, cooking, making jewelry, and being with his loved ones.

Bill referred to as "Papa" by his kids and "Wild Willy" by his friends, was known for his contagious laugh, his positive energy, his deep talks, his corny jokes, his endless wisdom, his generosity, his authenticity, and for "keepin' it real."

Bill was incredibly hardworking. He was an entrepreneur who started and ran his own successful carpet cleaning business. Driven to do the right thing, Bill approached his work as he did his family. With integrity, profound honesty, and care. His strong work ethic was contagious and shared with everyone he impacted.

Above all else, Bill was a fighter. He was always in your corner. There to defend his loved ones through any and all challenges or obstacles. He fought for others with conviction and passion. He never gave up.

Bill left an irreplaceable mark on the world and will eternally live on in the hearts of his loved ones. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

A private celebration of life will take place in the coming days.
