Obituary of Charles Gregg Beebe
In honor of Charles Gregg Beebe, born on September 25, 1949; passed on May 24, 2022.
Better known to all as Gregg, he was born to Charles Wesley Beebe from Portland, Oregon, and Anna Maxine Jordan from Idabel, Oklahoma. Gregg had two sisters, Bonnie and Teresa.
Gregg was served draft papers for the US Army in 1967 but decided to join the US Navy. He did four tours of Vietnam aboard aircraft carriers. He said they kept the bombs flying over Hanoi. Gregg fought the VA for years but finally won his case and was declared to be 100% disabled by the US Navy. Gregg was married after his Vietnam duty, and his wife Jill and he had twins, Joanie and John.
Gregg was a top-rated trader on the online bootleg web app E-Trade. He was a voracious collector of many of the great rock and roll legends' music like The Grateful Dead, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Eric Clapton, The Allman Brothers, Pink Floyd, and The Beatles. He collected CD sets of all his favorites, including more recent great guitar players like Joe Bonamassa and Government Mule.
He also was an avid photographer, taking pics of all his favorite places in Oregon. His happy place was anywhere along the Oregon Coast. He and his wife Connie were avid campers, moving from tent camping in middle age to RV camping in their senior days. His favorite places were Beverly Beach, Fort Stevens, Bullards Beach, and of course Harris Beach in Brookings. His family used to camp at Harris Beach when he was a child and he had his happiest memories from it.
Gregg is survived by his wife Connie, daughter Joanie, son John, sister Bonnie, and three grandchildren Olivia, Adam, and Amara.
Preceding him in death is his father Charles, mother Anna (Micky), and his sister Teresa.
The family is having a private viewing prior to the cremation on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. at the Crown Memorial Center, 8970 SW Tualatin Sherwood Rd., Tualatin, Oregon.
