Carol and Steve - You have our compassion and support in this moment. While we never met Isaac, in looking through the pictures we see both of you in him. It is clear he learned to love his community and others from you all. You are in our hearts.

Carol and Steve, my heart broke when I read about Jacob. I remember our many talks, Carol, that I still treasure. I remember how Jacob organized the American Red Cross blood donor night (with your help, of course) and what a beautiful heart he had for others. There are no words to take away your pain. You and Steve will be in my prayers as you grieve. Love and prayers, Becky Gifford

Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson, I was devastated to hear about Isaacs's death. There aren't enough words to describe how I feel about him and how important he was to me. So many of my fondest memories in high school are with him whether that was playing french horn duets during lunch, exploring downtown on the weekends, sharing AP Enviro notes, him convincing me to join brass band, waffle house dates in college, or getting pictures of his dog. My heart aches for you all but please know I will be keeping your whole family in my prayers during this time and how much Isaac was loved and will be missed. I hope you may find some comfort in prayers lifted and memories shared by so many people.

Thanks for encouraging us with your memories and pics. We remember you coming to the beach with us. The musical experiences still echo in our memory as vibrant and clear as they were when you guys played. It means a lot to us that you reached out Rachel. We would like to include the pics in Isaac’s celebration of life on April 30th at Brooks Avenue church of Christ. The service will be at 3 PM.

So thankful that you alerted me to Isaac’s death. As a parent of son just a two years older than Isaac, my heart and soul mourns with you in this loss, though I cannot fully comprehend the depth of your sorrow and pain.
With a heavy heart, and a shared believe with you in the life of Christ and the power of His resurrection, I extend my sympathies.

Dearest Steve, Carol, and Amanda,
You have our deepest condolences in the loss of your dear son/brother. Issac was such a caring and giving young man. Edward and I discussed his impact on Brooks many times. Sending hugs, love, and prayers for your comfort at this very difficult time. ❤️

Thank you Deborah for your memories of Isaac. I continued to volunteer for the Enloe band years after Isaac’s graduation and Edward would always ask about our kids. It meant a lot. When I delivered the power chair to your home in Edward’s final week, the first thing he asked me was, How is Isaac? Edward’s care and empathy for others is a spirit I seek to follow especially with people that struggle to find peace. Edward was intuitive like that, and I believe that is why Isaac was drawn to him.

Oh my buddy! Our Special Needs classes would not have run without his consistent presence each Sunday for all those years before he went to college. I saw how Isaac related to our students and saw each person as the individual that they were. I saw him that way too. I’m so sad that we’ve lost touch these last couple of years but I’m not surprised that he had found nursing. I will miss Isaac forever. All my love to Amanda, Carol, Steve and the rest of the family. When Barry & Paula initiated the 1st carnival, Isaac sat with me at the petting zoo & came to every carnival until he left for college. Your work to grow the ministry gave him his place at church on Sundays.
You & the other regulars who served in the ministry hold such a special place in my heart because Isaac found a home there, able to love , be loved, relax & be himself.
He loved it so much that he recruited his friend Laure to volunteer as well. Isaac knew we are ALL special needs people

Isaac was a great friend throughout middle and high school and my first few years of college. I have fond memories of seeing Wicked with him and going to the art museum. He was a kind and joyous presence and will be missed dearly.

Thank you for your memories of Isaac. Interestingly, I remember buying the print version of Wicked when Isaac and I went on a camping trip during middle school. I believe we still have the book in his room. Thank you for the pictures, we would like to share them in the slide show during his celebration of life service. They made us smile.

Isaac was the best late night TV watching and popcorn eating buddy! We would stay up to 3-4 am watching various home buying and repair shows. We would critique their choices like we were smarter and then smile and shrug our shoulders!
I remember the day he called to let me know he got his dog, Harley! He was over the moon!
He taught himself how to play the French Horn because his high school marching band needed one. He took my medical and surgical books for “light” reading!
Isaac was a quiet gentleman, super intelligent, kind and handsome!
He had a great smile and beautiful eyes that told you how much he cared.
He will be watching over all of us, family and friends!
I will never forget you!
Grandma Betsy

Thank you for reminding me of some fun times Isaac had with you. There are no words to describe the sadness we now share. I think you may have influenced him to chose nursing. From the comments of those who worked with him, he excelled in nursing was an asset to his teams.

Will never forget all the good times we had through the years, going with your family to the beach, you and your sister visiting me in the summers and helping me work in my garden that I was growing in the country where I was raised. My coming to Ralelgh and staying with you and Amanda when Mom and Dad went on vacations. My oldest grandson, so intelligent, always wanted to be in the medical field from the time you were just a little fellow. I am sure that many friends and the family will miss his beautiful smile and soft spoken ways. I loved you Isaac, to the moon and back.
Love,
Nana Jacobson
