Obituary of Ronald Allan Gentemann
Ronald Allan Gentemann died on March 9, 2022. He was born in Salem, Oregon on May 11, 1950, to Betty Klempel and Milton Morey and was later adopted and raised by Joseph Lee Gentemann. Ron attended South Salem High School and enlisted in the Marine Corps after graduating in 1968. Ron served in Vietnam and was in the Marine Corps Reserves before his honorable discharge.
Ron was a carpenter and worked in the construction industry for 40 years. He loved traveling to the mountains and to go fishing. He had a particular fondness for the time he lived and worked in Gillette, Wyoming.
Ron is survived by his wife of more than 30 years, Wynnette Lingo Gentemann; daughter Tawny (Derek) Bish; son Christopher (Christine) Gentemann; six grandchildren all of Salem; and many half and step-siblings.
Ron was preceded in death by his mother Betty, fathers Lee Gentemann and Milton Morey.
