Obituary of Lois Jennie Olds

Lois Jennie (Parsons) Olds 

 

Born January 30th, 1932 

 

Passed December 17th, 2021

 

 

 

Born at home in Fallon, Nevada to Delmar and LeVern Parsons, She was the fifth child of 12. Lois married the love her life Jack Olds in 1960. 

 

 

 

Lois enjoyed being PTA president at Holiday Center in the 1968, as well as being room mother to many of her children classes. She went back to work at 45 years old for the Portland Public School District as a custodian, and was proud she worked her way to up to Assistant Custodian before retiring in 1994. Lois was an accomplished grandmother and very loved by her grandchildren.

 

 

 

She loved to dance when she was young but married Jack who had 2 left feet, but he has learned to dance in the years they have been separated  and they are Waltzing now. She enjoyed playing with her children during their childhood and water fights were a thing. She was an avid plant and flower lover and reader. History was one of her favorite subjects. She always had a comment about what problems was going on in life and how she would solve them.

 

 

 

She was survived by 6 children. Leatha Johnston, Milwaukie Oregon, Sherril Hanifen, Troy Montana, Monica Cunningham, Portland Oregon Renee Ford,Shurz Nevada, Tami Olds, Portland Oregon and Doug Olds, Portland Oregon.  7 grand children, Shephanie Hargett, Fernley Nevada, James Cunningham, Portland Oregon, Kelsey Ingram, Anchorage Alaska, Jennifer Bolinder, Chugiak Alaska, Travis Johnston, Milwaukie Oregon, Rayanna Kertsta, Fairbanks Alaska, and Christopher Kerkstra, Tigard Oregon and 8 great grandchildren. Preceded by Jack Olds, her Parents, and 7 sisters and 3 brothers.

 

 

 

She will placed with Jack at Willamette National Cemetery.
