Obituary of Vernie Louise Cremeen
(Vernie) Louise Cremeen, age 76, of Gleneden Beach, OR passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 30, 2021 in Lake Oswego, OR.
Louise was born on February 12, 1945 to Frank Cremeen and Clydia Hollingsworth. Louise was one of seven children.
Louise loved butterflies, Elvis, writing poems and playing Scrabble. Favorite memories include hosting Friendsgiving dinners (enlisting the help of Cindy Costello, her best friend), serving as Chairperson for the Gleneden Beach July 4 parade for many years, and having family to her home on their visits to the coast.
Louise will be remembered for her tireless efforts to collect and distribute clothing, food, school supplies and other necessities through The Donation Station, a charitable organization she founded several years ago.
Louise is preceded in death by her father Frank; mother Clydia; step-father Thomas Wing; her sister Charlene Unrein; and brother Wendell Cremeen.
Surviving siblings include Cathy Kelly in Portland, OR;Terry Law in Happy Valley, OR; Lydia Mangum in Portland, OR; and Lila Reed in Vancouver, WA.
A private memorial is planned for a later date.
