Obituary of Jerry Leon Halvorson

Jerry Halvorson leaves behind his wife Janet of 45 years.

In his first home in Warren Oregon we lived there for 30 years he always said he grew up there.

Also, he leaves a sister Alice Abbott of Vancouver Washington, and a brother Ken Halvorson who preceded him in death. He also leaves a stepdaughter, Susan Jamieson of Portland, Oregon, and several step-grandchildren, he was very fond of.

He had several nephews and nieces he was very fond of.

Jerry was in the Navy on the USS Waldron DD699, during Vietnam.

He was a member of the Mount Scott motorcycle club and he would lay out runs and a lot of camping goes with that which he loved immensely.

Jerry was a pipefitter he retired from the Steamfitters, pipefitters local 290 in  2000 and loved being retired.

Jerry enjoyed camping and fishing a lot but his passion was motorcycles especially flat track racing.

Unfortunately, he developed dementia and it slowly took his life.

He loved life and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
