Obituary of Ronald Eugene Bond
On Tuesday, September 7th, 2021, Ron Bond, passed away in his home, with his wife by
his side, losing his 7 year battle with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkingsons Disease. Ron
was born April 15, 1944 in Long Beach, California to Marjorie and Willard Bond, who
proceeded him in death.
Ron was an amazing man. He treated everyone with kindness and was always there to
give a helping hand. Ron loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and after introducing
camping to his wife, she was hooked and they camped frequently. Their first
big trip together was camping along the coast from Southern California to Northern
Washington and on the return trip they camped through the central part of the states.
When he and Susan lived in SE Oregon, they had a mini farm, raising goats, pigs, chickens
and rabbits. He enjoyed working with his hands and was very talented: building
porches and decks; landscaping; remodeling rooms; and making lures for fishing.
Ron was admired by everyone who met him, especially children and animals. Ron always
told everyone that he refused to grow up and he lived up to that statement. His love of
his family, especially the grandchildren, left a big imprint on all of us. Our hearts are
shattered, but we know that he’s up there watching over all of us!
