Obituary of Roberta Jane Guiles
Roberta Jane Guiles was born April 15th 1937, in Syracuse, NY to Grace Sipperly and Robert
McCann. She passed away on September 11th, 2021 at the age of 84.
Roberta had 9 children, who she loved dearly, and had many grand and great-grandchildren.
Roberta was an unbelievably strong, determined, and tremendously independent woman. She
was the type of person who could take anything thrown her way. She always had a no-quit
mentality and feared nothing because she believed you can get through anything and there is
no need to fear while doing it, because God was on her side. Roberta had a very loving streak
to her. She would smother her grandchildren in kisses and hugs their whole life. She was
incredibly smart and creative. She always helped her grandchildren with their math homework,
because that was her specialty. You could ask her any math question and she could answer it
right away. She supported her grandchildren and encouraged them with their individualities.
This woman was very hard working and did everything in her power to care for her family and
friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 4:00 PM at First Free Will Baptist Church, 1390 45th Ave NE, Salem, OR 97301
