Obituary of James McKinley Dutton
James McKinley Dutton, known as “Jimmy” to his family and friends, passed away on July 6, 2021, at the age of 67. He was born April 25,1954, in Portland, Oregon, to Edward and Evelyn Dutton. He was the oldest of five children.
He attended Peninsula Elementary School, graduated from Benson High School, and was a member of Saint Paul's Baptist Church.
Jimmy married Linda Dutton in 1975. The couple had one child, Anika.
He was the grandfather of Marcus and Brianna, Isabella, and Azariah, and great-grandfather of Amari, Amiyah, and Alijah.
Jimmy was a gifted graphic artist and designer, draftsman, and self-taught piano player who loved and participated in most sports. He enjoyed fishing and was a collector of old baseball cards and miniature cars.
Preceding him in death were his father and mother; grandparents, Thomas and Ella Johnson, and Milton and Dorothy Dutton; his sister, Debra Dutton; brother, Xavier Wilson; stepfather, James Wilson; his aunts and uncles: Ethel Pearson, John and Lola Carter, and Marie Howard; and his nephew, Edward (TJ) Dutton Jr.
He leaves to mourn, Linda and Anika, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters: Edward and Angie Dutton, Jimi and Robin Henderson, Cedric and Dorothy Burton, John and Rachel Wilson, Faith, Hope, and Gregory Wilson, Kristi Dutton, and Barbara Wilson; Aunts and uncles: William Johnson, Raymond and Shirley Richardson, and Veria Bolin Page; Nieces and nephews: Oderick and Michella' Smith, Conregan Henderson, Sparkle Henderson, Jimi Henderson Jr., Krystle Dutton, Cedric Burton Jr., Tiffany Burton, Shakeryha Burton, Christopher Lawson, Shelby Wilson, Kendal Wilson, Bailey Wilson, Joshua Wilson, Krissy Torset, Heather Wilson, Brittany Wilson, David Wilson, and numerous other family members and friends.
Jimmy, our love for you was unconditional. You will always remain in our hearts.
