Obituary of Barbara Anne Preston
Barbara passed away peacefully on August 9, 2021 at Cherry Park Plaza Memory Care Unit. Barbara was 99 years old.
Barbara was born July 14, 1922 in Wichita, Kansas. She was the daughter of Victor and Della Nichols. She married the love of her life Ralph Preston on February 17, 1946. They were married for 67 years before Ralph’s death in 2013. She was loved well by her children, grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Barbara is survived by her daughter Vicki (Terry) Goebel, her brother Sam (Carrie) Nichols, her three grandchildren Amanda (Tom) Bamford, John Goebel, Rachel Boetel, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, Son Greg, two sisters Elaine and Shirley, brother Bill and her parents.
She was an active member at Gresham First Baptist, helped at The Red Cross Blood drives and The Foresters. Both she and Ralph loved to play Bridge and Pinocle with their friends.
