Paul Andrew Hammond
August 26, 1957 – August 12, 2021
Paul was at home surrounded by family and friends and passed away peacefully at the age of 63.
Paul was born at Mercy Hospital in Bay City, Michigan to Louise (McGivern) and Willis Hammond. He attended TL Handy High School, class of 1976. In 1997, Paul moved to Oregon where he resided, and worked in the customer service industry for the same company for many years until his illness prevented him from doing so.
Paul’s hobbies included tinkering on car motors, woodworking and collecting old coins Paul was very mechanical and could take anything apart and put it back together flawlessly. He even built his own computers.
Paul was preceded in death by both his parents. He is survived by his children Christopher Hammond; Monica Hammond (her fiancé, Jason Chamberlain); 9 grandchildren (Christopher, Jr., Andrew, Jacob, Kaylah, Maleeyah, Bella, Keaghan, Hannah, and Cilian). He is also survived by his siblings, Michael (Angela) Hammond, Barbara Hammond, and Carol Hammond, as well as his two nephews, Matthew (Julian) Hammond, and Nicholas (Sara) Hammond.
Paul’s wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held Monday, August 16 from 12:00 p.m. – 1 p.m. at Crown Memorial Center in Tualatin, Oregon.
