Obituary of Douglas Anthony Grand
Douglas A. Grand was born March 20, 1950 in Oregon City, Oregon to Pete and Joyce Grand. Doug was one of 7 children. He lived in Oregon City until he joined the Navy in March 1969 and served until September 1975. He was a Seabee stationed in Vietnam. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and everything outdoors, bad “dad jokes” and beer. He insisted that ice cream fixes everything! He never met a person that couldn’t call him a friend.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, Pete and Joyce, brother Glen, wife Kris and best friend Duke. He is survived by siblings and their spouses Ginger, Roger and Sandra, Vanessa and Steve, Nick, Rita and Vern. His daughters and sons in law, Dara and Gene, Amy and Marc, Mandy and Robert. His many Grandchildren, Stacia, Jamie, Michael, Kayla, Dustyn, Marcelino, Kyle, Justin, Kaden, Vanesa, Octavio, Pablo, Katie, Addie and Lane. And his Great granddaughters Lauren and Nova.
Doug passed away at his home in Oregon City with his daughters at his side.
Services will be held Tuesday August 10, 2021, at 1:30 pm at St. John the Apostle Cemetery 451 Warner St. Oregon City, OR 97045. With a celebration of life immediately following the service. Please join the family in wearing your favorite flip flops in honor of Doug’s favorite footwear.
