Obituary of Teresa Saunders
Teri Saunders was born on Oct 17, 1956. She passed from this earth on to her Lord Jesus’ loving arms
on 7/15/21. She was 64 years young and lived in Tualatin, OR with her husband, Kenneth “Rusty”
Saunders until her passing. She was born in Los Angeles, CA and grew up in the Van Nuys, CA area
with her loving parents, Bernard “Bunny” & Alma Donin and her much adored older brother Louis.
She went to Providence High School and graduated in 1974. She attended college with the aim to
graduate with a music degree, but family became more important, and she had 3 wonderful children,
that she always talked about, Louis Jr (LJ), Leanne & Logan, and between them she had 9
grandchildren.
In 1992 she met Rusty, and they married on 3/16/96 in Valencia, CA. They moved up to Oregon area in 2000 for health reason and to be closer to her brother Louis and they lived in the Tigard/Tualatin area all this time. She worked at JCPenney’s as an Interior Design Coordinator for 13 years before her retirement. She attended Trinity Community Church for the last 10 years and was part of the worship team for most of those years playing the bass and singing. Music was a big part her life. She was always proud of her dad being a professional bass musician and wanted to follow in his footsteps. She was passionate about music, her children, and grandchildren! She was involved with helping the community by volunteering her time at the local church food pantry and union gospel mission before she became too ill. One of her favorite places to be was at the beach. She loved sunny days and enjoyed swimming. Teri was a wonderful friend to many and a stable force for her husband. Her
dreams were to have a house near the beach, more time with her children and grandchildren, and of course sharing the love of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Teri will be missed, and she will always be loved with a special place in our hearts.
