Obituary of Donald Ray Aman

Donald (Don) was born on November 7, 1945 to Ray and Dorothy Aman in Ellensburg, Washington. After completing high school he enlisted in the Navy during the Vietnam war.

 

After being honorably discharged from the Navy in 1969 Don met the love of his life Nola in San Diego, Ca. After a 3 month courtship they were married and were off to start their new journey at Lubbock Christian College in Texas. After their first child was born they decided to uproot and move to Oregon to finish his Psychology degree at Portland state.

 

Don was self employed for most of his career running a cake bakery and quilt shop with his wife. Don later worked as a Manager at a Grocery store. Over the years Don enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing, cribbage and being with church friends and family. Some of his greatest accomplishments include being on the championship bowling team with Portland State University, he climbed Mt. St. Helens, and won a cribbage tournament.

 

Don is survived by his wife of 51 years Nola Aman;  his sisters Barbara, Darlene, and Becky; his children Donald Aman Jr. , David Aman, and DoraAnne Aman-Radulovic; as well as 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

 

Don was a loving father, brother and caring husband who will be greatly missed.
