Obituary of Willa Waters

Willa Mae Waters was born March 20,1950 in Slidell, Louisiana. 

She passed away on May 11, 2021, in Portland, Oregon.

Willa was sister to Dorothy, Norabell, Oscar, Natherlee, Diane, and Dale. She was a dear daughter to Alice Ducre.

She attended and graduated from Saint Tammy High School in Slidell. 

Willa met Jesse Waters in Slidell at Carver Country Club. The two were wed on April 21, 1973, at their home in the backyard with family and friends. 

Willa worked a host of different occupations throughout her lifetime. She worked as a school bus driver; a daycare provider; and served as a stay-at-home mother to name a few.

Willa enjoyed cooking, Bingo, Fishing, Traveling, Shopping, Spending time with family and friends.

Willa was a Loving, Strong, Resilient, Fearless, Courageous, Outgoing, Powerful, and an overall one-of-a-kind human being. She will be remembered for her kind heart and her willingness to help any and everyone. 

She is predeceased by her mother, Alice Ducre; sisters: Dorothy Charles, Norabell Jackson, Diane Ducre.

Willa is survived by her spouse, Jesse Waters Sr.; children: Patricia Pervish, Benjamin Pervish, and Jesse Waters Jr., and Stacey Jenkins; and a host of adopted children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, in-laws, and friends.

A Public Visitation Gathering will be held on Thursday, May 27th, 2021, from 3PM to 4PM, at Highland Christian Center, 7600 NE Glisan St., Portland, OR 97213.

Burial Service: Wednesday June 9th, 2021, at 1:30PM, at Willamette National Cemetery, 1800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd., Happy Valley, OR 97086.
