He worked as a material man, truck driver, storekeeper, and foreman for PacifiCorp Electrical Company for 38 years. He enjoyed gardening, hiking, reading, traveling, laughing, exploring, bird watching, singing and spending time with his family as much as possible. He was involved at his church, Grace Community/Horizon Community in Tualatin, Oregon for 37 years. He was a board member at Community Christian School. He was a deacon in the early years of his attendance. He taught Sunday School. He was an elder. He was a leader in the youth group for about 20 years. He also led life groups for over ten years.
