Obituary of Dean Dewey Goff, Sr

Dean Dewey Goff Sr passed away on April 1, 2021. He was born on October 28, 1944, to Dewey Granville and Eleanor Goff. He was raised in Portland Oregon along with siblings Jonn Goff and Judi Barnes. He attended Marshall High School. 

Mr. Goff married his wife Sylvia and they moved to Warrenton Oregon where they lived for over 30 years, where he build a successful painting and wallpaper business. A trade he learned from his father and loved very much. 

During his life in Warrenton, he attended Calvary Assembly of God church where he served as a worship leader. He loved to sing and sang beautifully. He was on the board of directors for many years.

He also served as the Astoria Rescue Mission Chaplin where he taught Bible studies to the homeless and those that wanted to learn God's word. He loved reading the Bible, serving, and helping others.

He loved the beach, camping, and fishing, and all of his children and grandchildren. 

In 2004, he and his wife moved to Beaverton Oregon where he went to work for a real estate company for 12 years before taking ill and retired. He enjoyed working no matter what it was.

Mr. Goff is survived by his wife Sylvia of 47 happy years, his sister Judi Barnes, his son Dean Goff Jr, daughters Desilee Champagne,  Darina Christensen, Vanessa Goff, and Deana Goff.

Mr. Goff has 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great, great-granddaughter. 

He was preceded in death by his oldest son Darren Dean Goff Sr on 

December 27, 2018.

The family is planning a private ceremony at Ecola State Park to celebrate his new life. He lived 76

beautiful years and is graciously in peace.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
