Obituary of Samantha Hamar
Samantha M. Hamar was born to Willam and Helen (Mendez) Hamar at Marymount Hospital located in Garfield Heights, Ohio on November 12, 1993. Samantha was a loving sister to Heather and William.
Samantha’s early years were spent in Cleveland, then went on to grow up in Galion, Ohio. She attended Galion Senior High School where she played basketball, earning two varsity letters. As a senior, Sam was an honorable mention All-North Central League and All-District. She also was presented an OHSAA (Ohio High School Athletic Association) "Courageous Athlete" Award.
After graduating in 2012, Samantha went on to attend Baldwin Wallace University and played Basketball (NCAA division 3) and Lacrosse.
Her passions included basketball, music, guitar (she was self-taught), and art.
Samantha will be remembered as someone who had a love for people. She was magnetic, drawing people in with her smile, beauty, and unforgettable laughter. Just her presence alone could light up an entire room.
Samantha is predeceased by her father, William Hamar; and Uncle, Charles Mendez.
Samantha is survived by her mother, Helen (Mendez) Hamar; sister, Heather (Hamar) Brzoska; brother, William Hamar Jr.; and dog, Milo.
