Obituary of Daniel Alfred Kistner

Daniel Alfred Kistner

Daniel was born in Salem, Oregon on March 10, 1953. He graduated from Gladstone High School, class of 1971.

Dan was a life-long Oregon State Beaver fan and was affectionately known as “Candyman” at OSU football games because he would throw candy into the stands after every Beaver touchdown.

He was an avid bowler and loved playing golf with his friends.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.  He loved riding his motorcycle and driving his classic 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle.

He always made it a point to send “Good Morning” texts to everyone his closest friends and family because he always said you never know when it will be your last day. He sent these texts the day he died!

Dan passed away on April 15, 2021 in Gresham, Oregon.

He is survived by his son Corey Kistner; Sister Patricia Long; Daughter-in-law Sheila Kistner; Granddaughter-in-law Alyssa Queen and Brother-in-law Ron Long
