Dolores Canfield Bowman
June 30th, 1926 – April 13th 2021
Dolores was born on June 30th, 1926 in Portland, Oregon. Dolores and her three siblings were lovingly raised by her maternal grandmother Annie Laurie Canfield. She graduated from Lincoln High School where she played clarinet in the band and became a drum majorette.
Dolores later became a semi-professional dancer and a magician’s assistant. About the same time, she met her future husband Buzz Bowman and learned how to ski. In later life she enjoyed many family vacations at Sun Valley and fishing trips to British Columbia.
She devoted her life in support of her children and grandchildren.
There will be a family gathering in her honor in the near future. Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
She is survived by her loving husband Buzz, and her children; Michael, Patrick, Stever, Laurie Marx, and Cathy Bowman. She is also survived by her granddaughters Shayna Bryant and Michelle Marx.
