Roxanne “Roxy” Holm
Roxanne Ruth “Roxy” Holm, 62, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Milwaukie, Ore., on April 13, 2021.
Roxy was born in Portland, Ore., on August 28, 1958, to Russell and Helen (Jensen) Holm. She graduated from Parkrose High School. For over 40 years, Roxy worked as a legal secretary, bookkeeper, and office manager for several lawyers in the Portland area as well as in Bend, Ore. While living in Bend, she also was a volunteer for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and the Humane Society of Central Oregon.
Roxy loved animals and the outdoors. She was devoted to her dog, Sydney, and enjoyed taking her to the beach and going for long walks. Roxy also was an avid reader and traveler, especially enjoying trips to Turkey, Spain, Southeast Asia, and Scandinavia over the years. She liked gardening and camping and was a great cook.
Roxy was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved brother Tom Holm. She is survived by her sister-in-law Nancy Holm of Champaign, Ill.; three nieces, Emily Tobin (Dan) of Seattle, Wash., Kathleen Holm of Denver, Colo., and Erin Collar (Jonathan) of Nashville, Tenn.; and grandniece Aurelia Tobin of Seattle, Wash. She is also survived by four cousins, Jim (Mari Lu) Jensen of Chamisal, N.M., John (Patty) Jensen of Oregon City, Jeff (Connie) Jensen of Bend, and Jerry (Vanessa) Jensen of Eugene. Roxy had many friends and will be very much missed.
Crown Memorial Center in Milwaukie, Ore., is providing cremation services.
A memorial service for Roxy will be held July 30, 2021, at 2 pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery & Mausoleum in Gresham, Ore. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Oregon Humane Society in Portland or to an organization of the donor’s choice.
