Obituary of Jami Arbon
Jami Jean Arbon, 45, of Wilsonville, Oregon, passed away on March 14, 2021. She was surrounded by her loved ones as she completed her earthly journey.
Jami was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to James R. Arbon and Georgene K. (Hild) Arbon on August 26, 1975. Jami attended LaCueva High School in Albuquerque and graduated in 1994. She went on to graduate “With Honors” from Oaksterdam University in Oakland, California.
Jami worked in the promotional products industry for many years and became a moving force within each company for which she worked. She displayed proven success in her leadership positions. Jami has always been a strong proponent for the legalization of cannabis, especially because of the healing properties of the plant, and in 2015 Jami returned to Oregon to work in the developing cannabis industry. She was hired to serve as General Manager of a new cannabis dispensary and developed the company to recognition as the #1 dispensary in the state several times. In recent years, Jami completed the Wilsonville Leadership Academy and was just appointed to the Wilsonville Development Review Board when her illness took her life. In her private life Jami was an animal advocate, loved rock and roll, and was a Denver Bronco fan supreme!
Jami is survived by her life partner, Doug Lanphere; mother Georgene Arbon; grandmother Kathie Hild; siblings Rhonda Weiss and Jeff Arbon; nieces Lindsay Wahl, Kassi Johnson, Kimbree Balentine; nephews Tyler Balentine, Marc Evans, and Spencer Balentine; and great-nephews Kyle and Devin. She is also survived by her beloved pets Myles and Kimo.
Jami was preceded in death by her father James Arbon; grandfathers Henry Hild and DeLome Arbon: grandmother Verona Arbon, and sisters Kimberly Evans and Kelly Balentine.
A memorial service will be held outdoors on Jami’s birthday this summer. Details will be announced as we move closer to the date of the event. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Kaiser Permanente Hospice program.
Arrangements by Crown Memorial Center in Tualatin, Oregon.
