Obituary of Fern Opal Kreitz
Fern Opal Kreitz April 19, 1918 – February 10, 2010 Fern was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all that she touched. A true native Oregonian raised on her family farm in Parkrose, Oregon. Graduated with a Bachelor of Science from OSU in 1940, she was a member and officer in the Chi Omega Sorority since 1936 and also a long time member of Daughters of the American Revolution. She became the bookkeeper of the family business, Oliphant & Bates Insurance, where she met her late husband, Richard V. Kreitz. She enjoyed playing golf and was a long time member of the Riverside Golf and Country Club with her husband. Other than golf, she enjoyed playing bridge and being with her family and friends. She is survived by her son; Ronald; daughter-in-laws, Debbie and Connie; and grandchildren, Ken, Cozetta, Justin, and Davin. Services will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 11:30 am at the Meridian United Church of Christ, 6750 Boeckman Road, Wilsonville, Oregon 97070.
