Obituary of Salvador Morales Ventura
Salvador Morales Ventura AKA Gerardo Morales passed away on February 22, 2021 at the age of 60 after a long battle with Kidney Disease.
Salvador was born in Copala, Mexico on October 24, 1960 to Felipe Morales Nava and Isidora Ventura Morales, then was raised By his Grandmother, Maria De Jesus Nava, in Acapulco. He came to the United States when he was in his 20’s and moved to Seattle, Washington where he discovered his interest in the culinary arts.
Salvador was known by many nicknames, it was a personal joke of his. He had a great sense of humor. People loved his laugh and kind spirit.
Salvador was known for his love of music, his favorites being Juan Gabriel and the Beatles.
He was also a devoted Seahawks Fan.
Salvador is survived by his wife Retta Jean Morales; his Mother Isidora; his Mother-in-law Corinne Joy Ballard who loved him like a son; his Children Dulce Maria, Maria De Jesus, Joshua Linn, Tessa White and Scott Armstrong; his grandchildren Kiara, Osric, Irene, Ciara, Alyssa, Xanthe, Preston, Stella, Bailey, Ceili; and his many much loved Aunts, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
Salvador was laid to rest on March 3, 2021 at the Historical Columbian Cemetery of North Portland.
