A sincere thank you to all of you who read my mother's story. I know that it's much longer than what would be expected, and so just the act of spending that time with her is a tribute. Everyone has a unique story, and too often people leave this world with only names and dates as the landmarks of their lives, and we are left to imagine the rest. For those who posted here, who sent cards, and flowers, who had masses offered in her honor, who planted a tree in her memory, who comforted us with food and kindness, and who personally shared with me wonderful memories that gave me glimpses into so much about my mother that I didn't know, I'm so grateful. It's a perfect time to share Mary Oliver's beautiful words...."So Tell me...What are you going to do with your one wild and precious life?"

Diane, What a beautiful tribute to share the story of Terry. My friendship with Terry spanned 40 yrs. It began in 1980 in the accounting department of Bolt, Beranek and Newman in Cambridge, Mass. Terry was respected and admired by all of her co-workers and the one we all went to for answers to the most challenging accounting problems. I played on the company softball team with Terry and she was the leader on the team and the star pitcher in the league. She was 30 yrs older than all of us on the team but she was as fun as the 20 year olds..... just more mature and polished, thus more respected. Every summer, the company would host a summer picnic and she always brought her beloved grandson, Danny. I'm attaching a photo of them sitting in the grass enjoying the picnic at the 1985 picnic. What a surprise so many years later when we both ended up living in Florida. I loved my visits to her home for lunch when traveling to south FL on business. I loved Terry's visits to my home on Amelia Island, FL. One of my favorites was the mother-daughter afternoon we spent having lunch by the beach (you, Terry, my mom and I). I'm attaching a photo of that wonderful day in 2014! You were the true light of her life. My prayers go out to you that you enjoy the many wonderful memories you made together. Love Marianne

Dear Dianne & Family, Aunt Theresa’s life story was beautifully done.
Although aunt T lived but a short time in London, I can truly attest to very many of those aforementioned assets with spades. She had a little twinkle in her eye and a sociable wit and truly must have had many friends over her lifetime. She loved to sit at the kitchen table and share her banana bread or down home molasses cookies with me and made sure I had a few to take home. She never lost her cape Breton hospitality. I was proud to call her my aunt and boasted about her cleverness, independence, social skills etc. to my close friends and family. You, Bob and her grandchildren were her pride and joy & she loved to share little fun stories about all of you in her own modest way.
The earth needs people who live well in their places.
I think she was one of them.
Sending healing warm wishes to you & your family

I did not know your mother but I just finished reading her obituary and what a beautiful send off. It reads like a novel and brings back such wonderful memories of my home town of Dominion. Thanks for sharing. Bruce Gouthro

Dear Dianne and family, what a beautiful tribute to Aunt a Theresa.
I am blessed to have been able to spend so much time with Aunt Theresa, especially while she lived in London. We did so much together and had great funs, I loved introducing her to my friends and they loved her instantly. We went shopping together, always ending up at her favourite store, Home Sense or Home Goods as you call it. Many afternoon road trips and lunches, dinners at both our homes, as well as a demonstration she gave me on how to make perfect Magic Bars, to this day I cannot make them like Aunt T. In the fall, she was eager to help me rake leaves, I guess that’s how she kept her beautiful figure, by always being active. We shared many good laughs and conversations about “down home” in Cape Breton. I could go on and on, how lucky I am to have such an amazing aunt, and role model. I will miss her dearly, her beautiful smile and encouragement, but I know she is now at peace, and Peace be With You dear cousin. ❤️❤️

I had the honor of briefly knowing Dianne's mum--what a wonderful experience. She embodied what "class" and "elegance" really mean. A survivor, a mother, a sister, a daughter, a history of life encased in this little white haired ball-of-fire. Thank you Campbell family for sharing her with me! So, she has left OUR world, to grace another....
