Obituary of Rory Sue Bennett
Rory Sue (Susie) Waters Bennett was born in Espanola, New Mexico on March 15, 1963 to Jim and Joyce Waters. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge on January 10, 2021 at the age of 57, in McMinnville, Oregon. Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ernest Bennett, she is survived by her son, Daniel Waters, her sisters, Natalie Smith and Penny Woods, her brother Charlie Waters, her aunt, L.D. Hamilton, an adopted daughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
Long time Yamhill County resident, and a lifelong lover of animals and nature, Susie worked summers in her teens in the Youth Conservation Corps in New Mexico, later working with Job Corp. Her most beloved job was working in a veterinary practice directly with the animals in McMinnville, Oregon.
Susie was met on the other side the bridge by the many animals and people she loved and lost in her life. Her family suggests a donation to the animal shelter of your choice in lieu of flowers. The family also wishes to extend our gratitude to the women of the LDS Church in McMinnville, Oregon, for their care and comfort provided our loved one in her time of need.
