Obituary of Donna Mae Caldwell

Donna passed away peacefully, surrounded by her husband Marvin, son Dennis, and granddaughter Amy at her home in Oregon City on January 20th from Dementia while being cared for by her loving husband Marvin.

Donna was born in Oregon City to Ted and Lydia Eckert. She grew up in the Oregon City and Gladstone area. She graduated from West Linn High School.

Donna met Marvin Caldwell in 1964 and was married that same year on December 9th and was happily married for 56 years.

Marvin and Donna were blessed with three sons, Dennis of Mulino, Oregon, Dale of Oak Grove, Oregon, and Marvin Jr. of Olympia, Washington.

Donna most of all enjoyed being around her grandchildren and spoiling them. Her favorite past time was knitting and crocheting. She loved making baby blankets to donate to children in the hospital. Donna even made an afghan for talk show host Don Imus and his wife as a favor for her friend and beautician Louise. Donna enjoyed camping and fishing trips over the years at the many campgrounds on the upper Clackamas River and Mount Hood Lakes. Donna became a Red Hat Lady with coaxing from her close friend Betty Haak. She enjoyed her outing with the ladies and their yearly day trips to the beach.

She worked as a house keeper for several years at the Camlu Retirement in Oregon City.

Donna has three brothers, Larry of Woodburn, Oregon, Jerry of Oregon City, Oregon, and Marvin who is deceased. Donna has five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Donna was a gentle person who loved life and family. She will forever be greatly missed in our lives, yet her memories shall remain alive and be kept in our hearts.
