Carol Iris Ader passed away from Ovarian Cancer on Wednesday, January 14, 2021, with her family by her side, at her home in Dallas, Oregon.
Carol was born on July 24, 1951, in Salem Oregon to Charles and Doreen Fowler. Carol was born on her maternal grandmother's birthday so she was named Carol Iris after her Grandma.
Her father Charles worked for the Army Corp of Engineers on many of the Hydropower Dams in Oregon so the family moved many times while the kids were growing up.
The family moved back to Salem Oregon. Carol graduated from North Salem High School in 1969. Carol made many friends at her schools but had a close bond with 4 girls from Springfield Oregon. They would make a point to get together every year and spend a weekend catching up. Much of the time was spent laughing, eating good food, and shopping.
Carol started working at a young age in the bean fields and picking strawberries. Working summers at Del Monte cannery in Salem Oregon. After high school, she got a job at Phillips Industries in Stayton Oregon. She worked few years at Smokecraft and retired on May 5th, 2005 after 20 years at Oregon Freeze Dry in Albany Oregon.
Carol moved to Jefferson Oregon in 1977. It was very important that her children stay in one school district. Carol loved to watch her kids play sports. Football was definitely her favorite!
Carol loved to go camping and spend time with family. Christmas was her favorite holiday.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Michael, brother
Charles L. Fowler (Loraine), Sister Lisa Hanslovan (John), two daughters Jill Johnson (Blain) and Keely Amaral, and son Ty Amaral. two granddaughters Jenna Johnson and Makena Amaral, and grandson Kole Amaral. She leaves behind many friends and family that love and miss her.
She requested no service; we will have a private inurnment later in the spring.
