Obituary of Linda Jill Jacobson

Linda Jill Jacobson

December 17, 1944-January 7, 2021

Linda Jill Jacobson was born in Portland, Oregon to Paul Hoge and Enid Vassallo (Hoge). After graduating from Wilson High School, she moved with her family to California. In California, Linda studied to become a beautician and successfully obtained her beautician’s credentials.

It was in California that Linda met a young Navel Electronics Technician, Myron “Jake” Jacobson. They were married on Treasure Island ~San Francisco, California in 1966. Linda and Jake’s marriage was happy and fruitful. The couple was blessed with a baby girl, Sherry Lynn Marcum (Jacobson) in 1967 and a baby boy, Martyn Roy Jacobson in 1969.

First and foremost, Linda was a homemaker as the family moved from California to Longmont, Colorado once Jake returned home from Vietnam. When Sherry and Martyn moved into their high school years, Linda was able to return to her career as a beautician. With the support of her family, Linda was able to realize her dream of owning and operating her own beauty salon which she enjoyed for several years.

We are comforted to know that Linda now rests in peace with her husband, Myron “Jake” and her daughter, Sherry.

Linda is survived by her son, Martyn Jacobson of Beaverton, Oregon; her grandchildren, Carissa Grady of Portland, Oregon, Joren Jacobson and Tyler Jacobson of Beaverton, Oregon, Augustine Marcum and April Marcum of Longmont, Colorado; as well as her brother, Paul Hoge of Newport, Oregon, and sisters; Joyce Kelly of Portland, Oregon and Beverly Weyel of Bend, Oregon.

On January 19, 2021, her ashes will be interned beside her husband at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
